Explore Milwaukee: Betty Brinn Children’s Museum

I don’t get out often enough some weeks, but when I do I like the explore the city. So I thought I’d start highlighting cool places to go/things to do in Milwaukee and eventually branching out to other places in Wisconsin as well.

Since it was Dominic’s birthday yesterday (my little man is two!), Nick and I took him to the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum for a family day today. We like to do something special for his birthday, just the three of us. I go a lot of places with Dominic myself or with friends, so it’s nice to go somewhere with all three of us.

The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is a great place to take your kiddos! We’ve been before, but it’s always fun and at this age especially, it’s always a new adventure. In between times I can see the difference in Dominic with his abilities in what he’s able to do there.

Here he is again in the Home Town shingling a roof.

Designed for the littlest kids, it’s a great place to hang out especially if there are bigger kids overrunning the museum (there were field trips there today). Everything is a lot more on their age level than some of the other exhibits and so it’s a nice place to be.

The Betty Brinn is not a super huge museum, but they’ve made excellent use of their space to still be able to offer kids a wide variety of options when it comes to playing here. It’s an educational and a fun place, that we highly recommend! Soon as the weather gets nicer, they will even be opening their outdoor patio.
