Challenges Abound: 101 in 1001

All right 🙂 Hahaha, you know I swear I am addicted to challenges sometimes. I think I just like lists and trying new things and accomplishments and challenges sort of combine all of those together into one. I saw one of my friends post about 101 Things in 1001 Days (I can’t remember who, sorry!) and I was intrigued, but at the time, I wasn’t sure if I could come up with 101 things that were significant enough to make it on this list. But the more I thought about it, the more I thought perhaps I could do it. So, here is my list.

1. Finish a book-length work.
2. Submit 30 written pieces for publication. – 3/30
3. Go to Canada with Nick, Dominic, and Player Four to visit Nick’s family
4. Take a family vacation not to visit family (doesn’t have to be far)
5. Go on an overnight somewhere just Nick and me
6. Visit the Bookworm Gardens
7. Go camping
8. Get back into volunteering somewhere
9. Make ice cream from scratch
10. Finish my recipe “collection”
11. Walk  (or run if I’m feeling ambitious) a 5k
12. Get a manicure
13. Clean out my basement piles haha
14. Organize my homeschool/art/etc supplies
15. Take another zumba class
16. Take a cooking class
17.Survive a weekend intentionally unplugged
18. Make pierogies from scratch
19. Load my freezer with freezer meals
20.Make bread from scratch (not a dessert bread, like a sandwich bread)
21. Register for Be the Match (Bone Marrow Registry)
22. Make pesto from scratch
23. Make my own Halloween costumes for the kid(s) one year
24. Go to a chiropractor
25. Pay for someone else’s food behind me at the drive-through
26.Introduce myself to at least 5 of my neighbors
27. Learn to can
28. Make a photo album of Dominic
29. Get rid of 100 things
30. Go to a NLL game
31. Attend a blogging conference
32. Make candles
33.Make popcorn on the stove top
34.Take the kid(s) to some kind of pick your own place
35. Make soap
36. Create emergency kits for our car and our house
37.Complete my Harry Potter puzzle
38. Make cookies for the librarians
39. Read the entire Bible
40. Bake a fancy cake, preferably the cool Big Bang Theory one with Kit Kats that I saw
41.Go geocaching again
42. Bake a cheesecake
43. Try 5 new local restaurants
44. Re-watch all the Harry Potter movies in order
45. Make cheese
46. Make a monetary donation to charity
47. Send out Christmas cards
48. Go rock climbing (indoor)
49. Perfect shuffling cards
50. Catalogue all my books and the kids’ books and our homeschool books
51. Join a CSA
52. Go for a walk every day for a month
53. Finish a crossword puzzle book
54. Read the entire Chronicles of Narnia
55. Do something awesome or epic with my sister
56. Breastfeed Player Four for at least a year
57. Find a source of income for me that doesn’t take me away from the most important things
58. Fondue
59. Get some nice clothes post-pregnancy
60. Eat no chocolate for a week
61. Clean out my e-mail inbox
62. Buy flowers for my mom
63. Have a baby (I think this one is cheating, but both Nick and Meghan think I should include it)
64. Beat 1 world of Super Mario Bros
65. Learn how to fold a fitted sheet
66. Write a letter to J. K. Rowling
67. Write a letter to Evanna Lynch
68. Take an aqua zumba class
69. Make a pie on Pi Day
70. Find/make a creative way to display the kid(s)’ artwork
71. Try 5 fruits
72. Make a list of 100 things I like about myself
73. Take the kid(s) sledding
74. Eat from a food truck
75. Grow indoor herbs
76. Get family photos done

79. Take a trip by train

99. Make a picture book for Player 4
100. Round up all our coins and use or deposit them
101. Make a loan on Kiva

The clock starts now! I have until Feb. 18th, 2017.
